hmm i think theres something wrong with it. The first thing i noticed was the y axis belt holder was broke so i replaced it with the spare they sent. Now i realize that the front bar is popped out of place on the extruder.

well i got the front bar back in place, the part that the extruder slides on X. I still can't get it to do anything. The X movement controls in matter control are greyed out if that matters at all.

Hmm that's strange but I don't use matter control its pretty bad. Send pictures of your end stops and the carriage. Something may be off

Double check those connections with a dmm. The output of the power supply is a switching power supply. Also if the other axis are moving and just not x that isnt the problem

Sorry to thread hijack but what's the difference between the regular E3D V6 and the Bowden? Which one will I need for my 3D R1?

Bowden is a different extruder set up. It uses a tube to get the filament to the hotend. The robo uses a direct drive extruder however it can be converted to a Bowden set up (one of my printers I have converted). Just get the universal v6 although why are you changing your hotend? The hex is pretty good I wouldn't swap it out till it breaks or something like that

I thought the E3D V6 is much better than what the 3D R1 comes with?

well i unplugged the bed thermistor and it's working now. Guess i'll see if i can print without a heated bed.

And now the extruder still isn't heating up... wtf

I downloaded it off Robo's website. It's ROBO3DR1V3. Now it's heating back up but taking a very long time.
