This is (almost) always a Z axis switch stuck or mis-positioned so that it triggers at the wrong time.

If it is not continuing to go "up" when auto-leveling and if the offset from the bed is small then it might just need the Z offset numbers tweaked.

Did anyone try these, The hex lead screw nut seems to be the hardest thing to source, but they all come with this flange nut.

That and a rigid (non-flex) coupling could do exactly the same thing as the lead screw upgrade. For less than $30, you could do the entire upgrade, two printed parts, two lead screws w/nuts and two solid couplers.

Lead screw only, hence mentioning the couplers. Uses the existing motors.

    And of course, China.

You may want to make sure you are in the ball park with leveling your x axis since you just replaced the rods. I manually leveled at both sides with a dial gauge (caliper will work as well) and got it close. I know, that is what autolevel is for, but I wanted to be close to start. Also, if you use hairspray on the bed, there might be a bit of build up on things. I always use a sheet of paper to block overspray as much as possible with the build plate extended all the way out and fan away from the printer after spraying. Take some light machine oil on a cloth or paper towel and rub the z smooth rods down. I do both the z and x once a month (more on heavy printing months). Since the leadscrews are new, make sure to drop a couple drops on each and run the z up and down a couple times. When my autolevel started causing it to print up in the air, my switches were fine, but I noticed the left side (x axis) would stick a bit on the rod. So keeping lubed is a good practice as well. The other advise on this above are great things to check as well, but if your switches are working well, then this might be a next step. It worked for me. Of course, the IR autolevel with get around that as well.

Thank you @danzca6 its running now with a -.7 offset. I should not have said printing in air since it was just a bit too high. Now it's bondtech install time.

Hello! Does anyone know what are the odds about when we will be able to buy the leadscrew upgrades again?

Just talked to Jerry and it sounds like they have some coming soon.

I don't want to say a date to get people overly excited, but the wait shouldn't be too bad...

Alright, I will look out for them. I only hope I don't end up being impatient and coming up with some alternative. I'm not much of a patient person, unless it was the only option, but knowing that some other people got other lead screws to work, makes me think of messing around with some other than Robo's upgrade Kit. Thanks a lot Mike!

That's if amazon decided to ship the lead screws right away, unlike everything else I get from them. and it's not even from the private sellers

Get em while they're hot boys. Worth every penny if you suffer from z-ribbing. ---Does Robo3D every have Black Friday deals? LOL!
