My printer randomly paused during a print. I need to click on the Pause button & click on Resume again to make it continue printing. This is happening with the stock FFF or stock settings & now it is also doing the same thing, randomly pausing few times during the print even with the FFF file from Sonny's.

    Advice?

    USB communications issues most likely.
Put a powered hub between the printer and the computer or print from the SD card.

Yeah been reading much too on the S3D forum. Printing from the SD Card solves this & yes did a print last night. Flawless.

And yes, S3D is THE software to get indeed. I never ever get printouts from my Robo with MC or Cura or all of the above with the ones I get from S3D. I am so glad I did bought this. Thanks all who posted here for sharing all the infos.

How do I exactly use the Bed Leveling Wizard? As soon as I click on "Bed Leveling" I know the toolhead will move & do its thing but do I need to adjust the "Leveling Positions" when the toolhead moves & stop? Or just ignore the GUI of the Bed Leveling Wizard & use the Lead Screws to adjust the height of the toolhead to the bed manually?

I would ignore that. The newer robos all have auto leveling and don't need a wizard.

If you still have a kickstarter robo without auto leveling, just home z, disable steppers, manually move the head side to side and adjust lead screws.

Yeah that is what I thought too. The reason I asked was to make sure what am I doing wrong as I am trying to print using PLA & it just not wanting to stick to the bed no matter what I tried.

The corners of my prints which is on the left side of the bed just keeps on wrapping. So I ran the wizard few times still no luck.

Took the whole afternoon yesterday to figure it out. Then I decided to manually adjust the bed using the Lead Screws & print a file from thingiverse to check how is my bed. Took me lots of trial & error.

Finally last night I did a print with PLA that took almost 5 hours. When I woke up just now, it is all done & perfect!

If this is an R1 (or R1+) you should have been able to mostly do that with the initial Z offset in the startup GCode. Assuming the crossbar (X axis) was not stupidly out of level.

Still, great to learn manual leveling -- it will be a lost art otherwise.

Yeah am happy now I am getting my prints with PLA sticking as it should be. Manual leveling surely is something everyone should try/know.

Now I can enjoy printing with this awesome software.

I have just purchased this software and have searched this forum. Here is my issue. The skirt and first couple layers do not seem to get enough material. After that it appears fine. I am muddling through the GUI and cannot find an applicable setting to extrude more material.

I am wondering is there a way to change filament at a specific layer/height that can be done with Scripts from the FFF settings?

What are some good settings for simplify3d? I have the robo3d R1+ Sofar with the stock Robo3d (with auto level) settings i just get a blob of goop and nothing sticks to the bed. if i up the extrusion multiplier to 2.4 and set the Z axis off set to -0.25 it sticks to the bed but then the print is all mushy looking when done. Assuming from to much filament. I emailed the support but sofar haven't heard back.

    Did you calibrate the extruder?
If it is from "too much filament" that would be the first place to look.

How do i do that? anything less than 2.4 and it won't stick to the bed.

    This is my Ending Script:

    M104 S0 ; turn off extruder
    M140 S0 ; turn off bed
    G28 X0 ; home X axis
    M84 ; disable motors
    M107

How can I make the nozzle lift itself up for an X mm before homing?

With my current startup script, before printing, my nozzle will wait for it to reach its printing temperature on the very back end, right side. Right now it is doing that with it touching the bed. How can I not make the nozzle touch the bed while it is waiting to reach its printing temperature?
