Cool. Cant wait to see it come along Ryan. You should start a thread for it in the projects page and post the process and updates.

I have a spool that's too narrow to fit on the Robos spool holder (matterhackers) what infill would you recommend? As soon as I have this I'll be able to start on some real projects :)

These parts are so thin (less than 5mm) it is fine to do the flat pieces solid. The top rounded section I did at 60% with 2 perimeters, 2 layers top and bottom.
All in all it doesn't take much material at all either way and I did it one part at a time as I was learning.

I always try to print one part at a time as I have had too many multiple prints fail and it pains me to kill a job where 3 objects are going perfectly and 1 messes up plus multiple printing does not save massive amounts of time, the actual printing of the object takes the same time in multiple or dingle its only the stting up time which is a minute or so to wipe the glass and refresh the hairspray / gluestick

100%. It's too thin as designed to hold the roll at anything less.

I think it is pretty close from what I have seen I do not know about exact but I have thought about this exact thing at times.

Each case has things that are done or not done that are unique to that process how the balance is teh difference and I think it can change based on you job as well

Speaking as a Pre-n00b (since I don't have my printer yet):

From what I've read about Cura and have seen in the settings you could always just set it up to run all of the items at once, but complete 1 part before moving to the next. You just need to put in some additional info about the extruder size so it knows how to space objects and create paths without running into already built objects.

That way you could have the best of both worlds. Print single objects, but without having to stop between prints to clear the bed.

Anyone doing much with this feature that can speak from experience?

Yes you can do that but it does slow down the slicing time and the print time as different things are done at different speeds and simply going back and forth does slow thing down a bit and it forces you to spread thing s out so you could end up with half the space available to print on in that manner

It is more of an advanced setting and one not used that often at least that I have heard about

I don't have my printer yet, but here is one of the first things I will be building. It's simple, but I designed it using Tinkercad and it will give me space to store inventory of the things I will be printing later.

They should stack. I've checked the print times in Cura and it would take a while to print these, but if anyone has spare time and decides to, let me know how they turn out. Otherwise, I'll post back after I've gotten my printer.

Nice stuff. Very cool. I want to print that pyramid too but don't have a good color for it. Came out great.

Thanks! I've still got a lot of tweaking to do though but its working pretty well at the mo. The wrench was printed at 0.2 and came out brilliantly; shouldn't be too long before I'm down to >100 microns a layer.

Here is an update of the finished homo habilis project. I used bronze powder suspended in acrylic and a rapid patina both made by sculpt nouveau to finish this.

It is full scale and was printed at .1058 layer height. Print time was just over 30 hours, About an hours worth of sanding and priming, and another 1-2 hours to paint, age, and clear coat it.
